CORPORATE SERVICES DIRECTORATE 

SENIOR SUPERINTENDENT OF WORKS

(FACILITIES)

POSITION CODE: 220258

TASK Grade 12 (R443 436 – R616 524 per annum)

(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)

 

Qualifications and requirements: 

 

  • Trade-tested Artisan in the building construction industry.
  • Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
  • Four to five years’ relevant supervisory experience.
  • Must be physical fit and able-bodied.

 

Key attributes and competencies: 

 

  • Be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Communication and coordination skills.
  • Budget management skills.
  • Maintenance, repair work, inspection knowledge.
  • Supervisory and control skills. 

 

Job purpose: 

 

Co-ordinating and controlling the operations associated with the provisions of maintenance services, inclusive of monitoring and implementation procedures, establishing resource requirements, planning and scheduling maintenance programs and evaluating outcomes, monitoring and attending to deviations in productivity and performance, and attending to specific administrative and information reporting requirements and processes.

 

As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
