POWER OUTAGE IN VAN STADENS AND WITTEKLIP

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that red and white phase conductors were found on the ground at FCW 2-4 causing a 6.6kV circuit breaker to trip at Fitches Corner substation, leading to a loss of power supply at Van Stadens, Witteklip and surrounding areas.
The team will continue working around the clock to restore power supply as soon as possible.

UPDATE: ZWIDE POWER OUTAGE

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality wishes to inform residents that while the team was busy with fault-finding following the power outage, they discovered a cable fault between Ngekazi Church and Ngwekazi Dip. Supply has been restored to certain parts of Zwide, however, the following substations are still off due to the cable fault: Stadium, Mboya, Mabopeni Mini, Vabasa, Konga, Qeqe 1 and Ngwekazi Dip.
The team will continue working around the clock to restore power supply as soon as possible.
