POSTPOMENT OF THE MAINTENANCE SHUTDOWN ON THE MOTHERWELL NORTH PIPELINE
The City wishes to inform residents that the maintenance work scheduled for today on the Motherwell North pipeline has been postponed owing to unforeseen circumstances.
A new date will be communicated at a later stage.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
REDUCED SUPPLY TO THE EMERALD HILL ZONE
August 4th, 2022.
As previously communicated, the allocation from the Kromme system has been restricted to only 30 megalitres per day. The demand on this system still outweighs the supply and to minimise the impact of this, the Metro has developed certain augmentation schemes to supplement this deficit.
A faulty valve was discovered on one of these systems and it had since been removed. This reduced the augmentation potential today and this caused reservoirs supplied from the Kromme system to lose storage. This could cause low pressure or water supply disruptions.
Work is nearing completion and thereafter, the transfer supply system can be commissioned again. Water supply will continue to be restored throughout the night.
We therefore require all residents to keep their water consumption to a minimum so that storage can accumulate once again.
The following areas may experience low water pressure or water disruptions:
